Arizona Keychain for Frances Vintage
Frances Vintage has been a lovely stockist for many years. Her adorable Phoenix boutique is filled with goodies and delights at every corner. Owner Georganne does an amazing job at curating a unique selection of handmade and small-batch goods by indie artists worldwide. My collection of pins, patches, keychains, and earrings have sold really well in her boutique over the years. I love how her custom Arizona keychain turned out. I illustrated the desert landscape and used a brush pen to write the letters. The color palette is so dreamy and reminds me of basking in the glow of a rosey desert sunset.
You can purchase one on the Frances Vintage website, and follow them on Instagram.
La Jolla Keychain for Hi Sweetheart Gift Boutique
San Diego is my hometown, so I was naturally thrilled when Molly reached out for a custom keychain. Her shop, Hi Sweetheart, is located in La Jolla and filled to the brim with the most amazing goodies. After a bit of ideating, we settled on a palm tree / ocean scene. I went with my usual style and illustrated the water, palm tree, and sun, and I used a brush pen to hand-letter the words. I love the jade color in that palm tree, and how the ocean waves coordinate with the aqua silk tassel. This was such a fun piece to design, and whenever I look at it I'm filled with an overwhelming urge to visit.
You can shop Molly’s adorable boutique and the La Jolla keychain on her website, and follow her cute Instagram feed.
Hotel Del Coronado Keychain for Seaside Papery
Seaside Papery is a sweet little shop located on the famous Orange Ave in Coronado, California, and owned by Jori Fentiman. Jori wanted a keychain of an illustrated version of the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, knowing that her customers are usually on the hunt for a keepsake to remind them of their trip. Using photos of the hotel for reference, I enjoyed sketching out the design and adding the city’s name in a hand-lettered cursive.
Check out Jori’s online shop and snag one of these beauties before they sell out for the second time. You can also follow her beautifully curated Instagram.
Orange Ave Keychain for Coronado Chamber of Commerce
Rena contacted me with the idea for a custom keychain to retail at the Coronado Chamber of Commerce visitor center in sunny southern California. Orange Ave is the mile-long stretch from Bayside Coronado to the Hotel Del Coronado on Ocean Boulevard. Rena wanted me to use their logo for the design but requested I add my signature style using my hand-lettered script. The finished piece turned out SO sweet, with shades of orange and a coordinating silk tassel!

If you’re planning a trip to the San Diego area, I highly recommend checking out the Coronado Chamber’s website and Instagram.
Umbrella Keychain for La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club
After Nicole from La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club reached out about a custom keychain, I was tempted to ask for membership as payment! Seriously though, I’ve never been into tennis, but as I was admiring photos of their club I found myself wanting to pick up the sport. Nicole had the fun idea to incorporate one of their iconic beach umbrellas into the design. I decided to keep it simple and just draw the umbrella as the keychain shape, and then hand-letter their name inside. Nicole loved the final piece so much that we decided to use the same art and make it into a pin. Ok, I don’t know about you but I’m ready for a beach day.

Posman Books Keychain Chelsea Market NYC
I first connected with Posman Books while I was exhibiting at the NY Now tradeshow. Their store at Chelsea Market has been an awesome wholesale account, and so I was pretty stoked when they asked for a custom piece. They gave me creative freedom to come up with my own ideas for the design. In the spirit of reading, I went with a “bookworm” theme, drawing an apple and a smart-looking worm. Everyone really loved how this piece turned out, and I was asked to design a matching piece for their Atlanta store, see below.
Posman Books Keychain Ponce City Market ATL
Basing the design off the piece I did for their NYC store, it only felt right to use a peach since Georgia is known as the “Peach State”. I’ve never been to Atlanta but if I ever do I'll definitely stop by their store located in the Ponce City Market. This was such a fun little collection to make and I hope to one-day design matching versions for all their other stores!
